Vegetable based gelling agent – corresponds to 18 sheets of gelatine

Agaranta is a 100% vegetable based gelling agent. It consists of agar agar, which is obtained from organic algae, combined with organic arrowroot (lat. Maranta). The special mixture of both ingredients results in a particularly smooth yet cut-resistant consistency. Agaranta is colourless and tasteless.

Agaranta is a 100% plant-based gelling agent. It consists of agar agar, which is obtained from organic algae, combined with organic arrowroot (lat. Maranta). The special mixture of both ingredients results in a particularly smooth yet cut-resistant consistency. Agaranta is colourless and tasteless.

Preparation

Dosage:

Approx. 1 heaped tbsp. corresponds to 6 g and sets 500 ml of liquid.

Preparation for hot mixtures:

Mix 6 g with 100 ml of liquid until smooth. Stir into the remaining liquid. Gently simmer for 2 mins. Leave to set in the fridge for 3 hrs.

Preparation for cold mixtures:
Mix 6 g with 100 ml of liquid until smooth. Gently simmer for 1 min. Leave to cool slightly, stir in cold ingredients gradually. Leave to set in the fridge for 3 hrs.
