Preparation
Use of citric acid:
- To regulate acidity and as a gelling aid when preserving fruit spreads with low-acid or sweet fruits.
- Prevents freshly peeled fruit and vegetables from turning brown.
- Lemon juice can be replaced by citric acid when preserving.
- Add flavour to fruit salads, fruit spreads and salads.
- For tangy refinement of hot and cold drinks.
- For descaling, as a water softener and as an alternative fabric softener.
