Preparation

Use of citric acid:

  • To regulate acidity and as a gelling aid when preserving fruit spreads with low-acid or sweet fruits.
  • Prevents freshly peeled fruit and vegetables from turning brown.
  • Lemon juice can be replaced by citric acid when preserving.
  • Add flavour to fruit salads, fruit spreads and salads.
  • For tangy refinement of hot and cold drinks.
  • For descaling, as a water softener and as an alternative fabric softener.
